throw pillows in moderation

I stumbled across an interesting topic lately on a home decor blog. Pillows. I use the word interesting loosely, I know.

But really, just how many throw pillows are too many? Husband and I disagree on this topic. He would argue that one is too many. We each have two pillows to sleep with, then there are two pillows in shams that come off the bed when we sleep, and we also have two throw pillows. Really, it sounds worse than it is, and I think we could use more decorative cushions in our boudoir. Our bed would look much more beautiful and inviting it had more pillows, like these from Wicker Emporium:

This reminds me of the scene in Along Came Polly when Ben Stiller lets out his frustrations toward his ex-wife by stabbing all the throw pillows on the bed she trained him to perfectly make.

If I buy any more throw pillows, I may come home to this:
