to paint, or not to paint

Believe it or not, I'm actually on the fence about painting the bedroom now. We got a new duvet cover, which we love, but I can't decide what colour should go on the walls. Should it be matching or contrasting?

(Note the sneaky fur ball who appeared out of nowhere when I brought out the camera)

Here are the paint chips I picked up:

I was originally thinking light gray would work, but now I'm thinking it should be a contrasting shade.

I found this colour palette example, but I've always read that using a dark colour paint in a small space is a no-no.

Would brown work? I'm not really sure where to start. Suggestions?
