what's in a name?

Once we found out for sure that Baby B was a boy, we were relieved to cut our name search in half and focus on just one gender. But did that make it any easier? Not really.

What a responsibility! This is the name that our son will have for his entire life. Should his name be trendy or traditional? Should it have more syllables or less? What kind of meaning should it have?

Husband and I have found many names that we like and some that we love, but we're not sure that any of them are definitely our son's name.

Blog friends, help a momma-to-be out! Please share any and all boy name suggestions!

  1. I feel your pain! Our boy name was Cullen.....keep in mind we liked this name WAY before Edward even became a household name (Yes, we like to be prepared!). Since reading that Cullen is the fastest rising name in 2009-2010 we decided to search for another. Its fun, but we are anxious to nail down a name! Happy searching :)

  2. Same thing happened to us with Jacob! We loved that name until Twilight ... not to mention it's been on the Top 10 list of popular names in Canada for the past decade. We're now looking for something a little more unique.

  3. Jacob is a really nice name, one of my favorites as well. What about Jake?

  4. What do you think about:
Dean? Felix? Camden? Eilam? Lamar? Talis?

These are all names I like a lot... Found most of them on this site: http://hunch.com/baby-boy-names/

  6. The funny thing is, I think we've changed the names we like again since then ... It's so tough! Thanks for the suggestions! I'll add them to the list and run them by Husband :)
